This morning we went to sign the adoption resolution! Woohoo!
Tomorrow is the 'Day of Silence', a legal formality required by Peru. On Wednesday, the adoption is official. We only need to wait for Camila's new birth certificate to be issued here.
Our in country rep, Marisa, will arrive back in Iquitos tomorrow night to be ready Wednesday morning to begin that process.
Please pray that the birth certificate is issued quickly. Marisa thinks us being able get it by Friday will be pretty miraculous. She has told us that if it's not issued by Friday, our family can fly back to Lima and she will wait here for it. The thing is, Danny and the boys are scheduled to fly home Monday night and Danny cannot leave until he has signed the birth certificate. If we have to bump those four flights back, it will cost a pretty penny. Please join us in praying for them to issue the new birth certificate even quicker than they think is possible!
We can fly back to Lima as soon as we have the birth certificate. It will truly feel like we are going home to be back with the Ardiles'!
Camila always tries to help the guys who come to change our sheets! She pulls on the sheets and smooths them out! Lol
The only other thing we have to take care of while in Iquitos is we have to get a notary to write up a document which states Danny is giving me power of attorney, and permission to travel with Camila alone. It's something Peru requires for one parent to travel with their child and without their spouse, out of country.
So anyhoo- we cannot wait to get back to Lima to our sweet friends the Ardiles', and Anita and Angus and their children.
Then on from there to finally travel home to Louisiana with our precious Peruvian princess! Hooray!

Hey Calley. Sounds like a busy week ahead waiting on Camila's birth certificate. Looks like from your blog and pics that she has adjusted pretty well. Anxious to see how her first airplane flight goes. Please be safe and prayers for all of you!
There was a song we used to sing that said "God can do anything, anything, anything, God can do anything but fail". I believe that and I know that He has the power to do just what you need done! God bless!
