CHECKING OFF THE LIST
Monday morning we took off to drive to the state police office where we could get our background checks done instantly. Somewhere around 30 minutes down the road, we began calling the office to be sure about the amount on our money order. We couldn't get an answer. We began searching online and discovered that day all of the state offices were closed for a city wide holiday celebrated only once every four years on that exact day. LOL Only us! So, we turned around slightly disappointed, and did a repeat on Tuesday. We had to wait in a pretty longline, but left with background checks in hand! We now are only waiting on one other clearance, and for our homestudy to be completely updated. I know our social worker is working on it, and so we are praying all of this is on the way to USCIS ASAP! In the meantime, we decided to go on and plan the boys a birthday party for next Friday night. We are going to have a little bonfire and celebrate both of their birthdays at the same time. They both agreed that they wanted to celebrate their birthdays with friends and family before we left for Peru. Isaac's birthday is actually this week, and Josiah's is in February. They are so excited! They want to have an Angry Bird birthday party, of all things! We will see what I can come up with! :/ (With the help of Pinterest, anyway) My personal prayer is that we have word of our Article 5 (We can travel!)on the way and are celebrating that as well! We also have decided to do a very last minute fundraiser. We've decided to do one more chicken dinner sale, and we are actually trying to sell 800 plates. Eeeeek! If we are able to sell that many plates we will be a mere approx $2000 from paying for our entire travel to Peru and adoption fees! This is absolutely nuts. If my estimates are correct, we are about $3800-$4000 from there right now. (These latest updates are costing somewhere around $600, and then plane ticket prices are going back up.) We are so close!! Great things are around the corner!!!

Angry birds are cute and Walmart has some stuff. Hang in there, you're almost done!!! Continuing prayers!
Angry Birds! LOL I know you can be creative. :) Hopefully, all the paperwork will be done quickly (if such a thing is possible in the adoption world) and you'll be on a plane soon.
