Life has been moving along busily, as always. The boys were in a one mile benefit race on Saturday. Afterwards, Isaac, in his whiny voice, asked me when I was going to buy him a trophy. lol He wanted a trophy so bad!!
Josiah had his last basketball game shortly after the race, so we left before they handed out awards at the race, assuming that in the huge mix of kids racing, ours probably didn't get a trophy. After the basketball game, they handed out trophies for the b-ball players. Since Isaac didn't play B-ball, he then began crying because he didn't get a trophy, yet again.
That evening, as we were driving home from a family day out to the zoo, I got a call from someone telling me they had left Isaac's trophy from the race on our porch. He had won second place in his age bracket! He was beyond excited when he found out! He had his own trophy!
We have been busy with numerous fundraisers lately. We had a chicken dinner sale last week and raised $1200 Several people pitched in to deliver dinners, make desserts, and sell dinners. It was such a blessing to have the help!
We have a garage sale coming up this weekend, and have been selling t-shirts to raise money. We have a ways to go, but we have also come a long way! God has provided abundantly.
(I cannot find my pic of Isaac with his trophy! Guess I'll have to take another!)
Zoo Trip
(The ostrich would try to grab the boy's shoes. They got a kick out of that!)
All in all, things are going well. We are very excited about the things ahead, and praying for all things to move ahead speedily, without a hitch! We are praying for God to lead us to the child he has for us, and that we'll have them in our arms soon!
