Have you ever considered the thought, that God has more faith in His children, then His children have in Him, at times. Think about it. God trusts us with His name. He trusts us to obey and answer when He calls. He trust us to live godly lives.
Sometimes, on a bad day, we can feel so inadequate for a task that God has called us to. Satan can try to plant doubt in our hearts about our capabilities and make us feel like giving up, if we dwell on those thoughts. But if God has called us to a task- He believes in us! He knows that if we lean on Him and allow Him to move through us, we can walk through even difficult days with victory.
With God, our steps aren't directed based on our capability. They are directed based on our surrender. When we surrender, God gives us the power we need to complete whatever He calls us to. When we lean on Him, we lack nothing!
I have heard people say that if something is not going smoothly, or if a person is having a difficult time completing a task, that might not be what they were called to do. Tell that to someone who has been tortured and in prison for the name of Christ! Tell that to someone who is suffering because they will not deny their Lord! Hard days come to us all, but there is a peace and even joy in a hard day when the believer recognizes who they are in Christ, and what a privelidge God has entrusted them with.
2+2 doesn't equal 4 in the kingdom of God. When God's children are willing to submit to His call, God enables them to do way more than they ever dreamed possible. In fact, it seems that my experience is, the more surrender- the greater blessing.
The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.
Proverbs 11:25
This morning, God refreshed and reminded me of the simple thought, that He is not a God that operates on human terms. He is Lord. He is not leading our family, growing our family, or enabling our family on human terms. He desires to do far greater than that, if we will allow it! How I reduce God by putting Him in a box, based on what I think is possible or what I think I am able to do! Forgive me, my Jesus!

Right on:) God is going to to continue to do amazing things for your family in this adoption. When you take your eyes off God and put them on the circumstances, you get fearful. When kept on God, no crazy, impossible circumstance can stop the peace and God's will. I learned this lesson with Elijah's adoption and am clinging to it with this adoption as well. Heb 12:2!
