Great Folks

From Last Night:
Today we spent most of the day chilling. Danny is still waiting on the results from his parasite test. I have not been able to, ahem, produce the required evidence in order to test. But, I have felt great all day and had no stomach cramps.(Yes. TMI) Hoorah.

We walked to a close park this morning.

This evening, after a great day of playing and visiting with the Ardiles',(We can really communicate and understand in Spanish, to an extent. It's not perfect- but it's coming along, and a lot of fun!) Anita, Angus and two of their children AP and Annie came to visit and take us out and about. I just love this awesome family. We had the best time laughing and carrying on.

We needed to get a few things at the store and so Fiorella, the Ardiles' granddaughter also joined us for the outing. The girls took a taxi and the boys drove in Angus and Anita's car. Camila was so sweet all day and seems to adore all of the women doting over her.

One of the main reasons we went out was to get Camila some shoes. The ones I brought for her were too small and her toes were hanging over the edge. I had hoped to find her some sandals but unfortunately they mainly have all winter clothes out here because they are coming into the winter season now.

It looks like mommy finally has a shopping partner! Camila loved shopping! She was high stepping through that mall like she owned the place. She wanted to stop and dance and sing when she heard music and would randomly smile and giggle at the busy atmosphere.
I found her some really bright pink sneakers and she loved them. When the lady wanted to see what size she needed, Camila took off her sandal and stuck her foot in the saleswoman's lap in this hilarious, dainty sort of way! She was loving the shoe shopping! After she was wearing the shoes, she wanted to jump everywhere and walked staring at her feet.

We came back to the Ardiles' and enjoyed some pan y marmalada (bread and jam) and did a lot of laughing with the family. Camila danced and sang all over the kitchen. She enjoyed the joyful atmosphere as much as we did.

Tomorrow morning we will go back to the Union Church, the English speaking church in Lima where Angus is the pastor. Afterwards we are going to visit their home and celebrate their son AP's 14th birthday. We are looking forward to the day!

Josiah, Isaac and Amaus all love Annie and AP. Amaus wants to constantly show Annie his games, and Josiah and Isaac think AP is the coolest guy ever. Annie and AP are the most delightful and polite teenagers, and a pleasure to be around and talk to! So is Fiorella, who lives with the Ardiles' and is studying in Lima to become a doctor. A sweet bunch! We are looking forward to hanging out with all of them tomorrow!

Chau!

This made me cry, thinking about her getting to pick out her first pair of shoes for herself and how exciting that must be for her.
