Hovering Egyptians and Grass-Sprouting Pantyhose!

A YEAR OF DISCOVERY AT CO-OP!

Our family has had an incredible time this year in participating in our area homeschool co-op. The kids have made some great friends and really anticipate Fridays, where they get to learn, create, and explore; and they also get to play and run with other area homeschoolers.

This year our kids have been able to learn all about various world cultures, tried food from those cultures, and met people who have visited or are from other parts of the world.

They've tried on costumes from other cultures and learned about animals that live in other parts of the world.

*Harp playing when we were learning about Europe

*Chia pets out of panty hose

*Vegetable animals as children make in Africa
They've studied the history of art, and had the privilege of making cave paintings using natural pigments and animal fat just like the original artists of cave paintings did thousands of years ago. They even got to "blow" paint, as those same cave artists did.

They've learned about the Egyptians, wrote in hieroglyphics, created their own replicas of canopic jars, and are currently working on mummifying chickens! Yes! Really!

They've made mini hover crafts and even rode in a small hovercraft.

They're currently working through a science apologetics class, as well.

*riding a small hovercraft
They've played capture the flag, worked as a team to get through small obstacle courses, played red rover, and other games.

They've learned scriptures and songs and are working on a skit about the disciples.

They've gone to zoo and had a Christmas celebration.

They've had fun!

And fun is good!!
